New Button!

June 22, 2010

While I am still busy sorting out details for next year, I have noticed a few out-dated buttons in blogland that need fixing.

Thanks to Donna, here’s a new one for you!

If you would like the code, please email me at chaletgirl13@gmail.com and I will email it to you.

(One of WordPress’ great limitations is it’s inability to deal with this stuff. I can’t post the code on a blog post. I spent weeks trying to find a way around it last time and I never did figure it out. Email me. I won’t bite).

Addendum

May 21, 2010

I wanted to add something after the last post.

Thank you everyone for your concern. There will be no whip-around, and no recoupment next year (that wouldn’t be fair to the new attendees). There are no hard feelings. There are no divorce papers. There really is nothing to be worried or upset about.

I am absolutely thrilled with how it went this year. It was a great success and I had such a wonderful time. There were no surprises. My out-of-pocketness occurred well before last weekend and I went down to Melbourne knowing all that. Did I not look happy? Tired, perhaps, but surely happy?

All I wanted to convey to you is that I could not put on that event next year for $65. It can’t be done. For those reasons. (And also, because now I am slowly discovering that Melbourne’s conference prices are quite a bit lower than Sydney’s).

So before you all thought that I was trying to make a motza from next year when you see an increase in price, I thought it best to warn you about it and tell you why.

I’m thrilled to hear that you thought it was good value, because hopefully that means that the increase will not put too many people off. I really want as many bloggers as possible to come to Sydney and join in next year’s festivities.

So that’s all. There was no veiled grumpiness in my last post. I promise.

I have many more posts to do still to wrap-up, but I am enjoying my kids for a few days before getting back to ‘work’ on this, my most favourite of projects.

I appreciate your concern. All is good here. Promise.

(And I am waaaay behind on my emails and blog-stalking and comment-leaving. Please excuse me. I’m not ignoring you. See above re kids.)

Don’t Forget…….

May 16, 2010

The Flickr pool for your photos here.

The Ning network has been updated with all those who attended, and links to each blog (in red under Who’s Coming).

And don’t forget to spread the word about the sponsors! If you want to have such generous sponsorship for next year, then we all need to make it worth their while. You all have a lot of readers and reach a wide audience…so go and tell everyone how fabulous they are!

(And thanks so much for all your kindness on the last post).

Thank You

Thank you everybody.

I’m not really sure what to say other than that.

Thanks for so many gorgeous gifts. You really did spoil me.

Thank you for all the hugs, for the kindness, for the warmth and friendship. Thanks for trusting me. So many of you came such a long way and trusted me to be there at the other end.

Thanks for the joy of watching you get to know each other, laughing together and creating together.

I loved watching Andi help Gypsy make her first quilt top. I loved watching Trash carry Esther‘s baby daughter around so Esther could quilt. I loved seeing the paparazzi go wild over Jodie‘s animals. I loved watching so many of you meet, shriek and hug women that you have long known but never met.

It really was awesome, wasn’t it?

It’s well after midnight and I have a long trip home tomorrow today, but I really don’t know how I am expected to get to sleep…..

Thank you.
