I wanted to add something after the last post.
Thank you everyone for your concern. There will be no whip-around, and no recoupment next year (that wouldn’t be fair to the new attendees). There are no hard feelings. There are no divorce papers. There really is nothing to be worried or upset about.
I am absolutely thrilled with how it went this year. It was a great success and I had such a wonderful time. There were no surprises. My out-of-pocketness occurred well before last weekend and I went down to Melbourne knowing all that. Did I not look happy? Tired, perhaps, but surely happy?
All I wanted to convey to you is that I could not put on that event next year for $65. It can’t be done. For those reasons. (And also, because now I am slowly discovering that Melbourne’s conference prices are quite a bit lower than Sydney’s).
So before you all thought that I was trying to make a motza from next year when you see an increase in price, I thought it best to warn you about it and tell you why.
I’m thrilled to hear that you thought it was good value, because hopefully that means that the increase will not put too many people off. I really want as many bloggers as possible to come to Sydney and join in next year’s festivities.
So that’s all. There was no veiled grumpiness in my last post. I promise.
I have many more posts to do still to wrap-up, but I am enjoying my kids for a few days before getting back to ‘work’ on this, my most favourite of projects.
I appreciate your concern. All is good here. Promise.
(And I am waaaay behind on my emails and blog-stalking and comment-leaving. Please excuse me. I’m not ignoring you. See above re kids.)
