I don’t think I have posted any photos to this blog yet, so it’s a complete delight that this is the very first one.
I have been talking to the very generous folk at Spotlight for a while now. They approached me late last year to say that they wanted to contribute something to the Saturday Crafting Session at Sew It Together. They recognise that the craft blog community is made up of many of their own valued customers and that we, ourselves, are an exceedingly generous group who give much back to the wider community.
What with Christmas and holidays, etc, it has taken a little while to co-ordinate, but in my mail today was this bounty. Spotlight have sent me 10 x $50 pretty purple gift vouchers to be given away at the Saturday Crafting Session!
Although it is tempting to hand these out to those who arrive with the ‘most gorgeous handknitted cardigan’, ‘the loveliest crocheted scarf’ or the ‘most creative use of covered buttons’, they will be given out at random on the day.
I’d like to thank Spotlight. It’s amazing to me that a large company like Spotlight can see exactly what I see in craft bloggers; a warm, generous community of people who, one way or another, actually do make this world a better place to live in. That they want to be a part of this event makes me immensely proud. A big thank you to Holly at Spotlight for co-ordinating this.
On behalf of everyone who will be coming along in May, and hoping to win one of these awesome prizes so they can have a shopping spree when they get home; thank you very, very much Spotlight.
