I’ve made a few changes to the page on the Saturday Crafting Session.
Thanks to the fantastic response, we are not that far off reaching capacity for the event, so I have made some executive decisions about how to deal with that.
I think it is really important to keep some places for visitors to Melbourne, since the whole point is to gather bloggers from across the country. (And from the country next door…yes, we have some NZ bloggers who might be joining us!).
So many wonderful Melbourne bloggers have been so enthusiastic about the event and I am very grateful for your support. Over 2/3 of the interest has come from Melbourne so far.
Now if you left a comment on the Crafting Session page, you should have received an email from me asking for a deposit to secure your place.
I am taking deposits from the first 40 people regardless of where they are coming from. Once 40 people are confirmed, places will be closed for Melbourne bloggers. The remaining 10 places will be reserved for country Victoria, interstate and overseas bloggers. Melbourne bloggers may go on a waitlist for those places, which will be released a month prior to the event if they have not been taken up by visitors.
About 30 people have already registered their interest, so, please, if you are in Melbourne and have your heart set on coming, don’t delay in sending your deposit. We may be at 40 sooner rather than later.
I hope that you understand my reasoning for doing it this way. I just want to make sure there is space left for visitors if they decide to join in next year. As I said above, we have some Kiwi bloggers interested in coming over, and we have bloggers coming from Darwin, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and *maybe* Perth. Where are the Canberrans and the Tasmanians?
